Diya foundation by building Women Self Help groups advocates for women’s equality and empowerment. There are currently 155 working Self-Help Groups, and these are being promoted into Village Organization and incorporated with the Assam State Rural Livelihood Mission (ASRLM). Along with this Diya has built, and is currently promoting two Farmer Producer Companies namely; 1. Rangsang Agro Producer Company Limited and 2. Mapakkai Agro Producer Company Limited comprises 600 and 500 members respectively. Rangsang has 300 shareholders while Mapakkai has around 450. Rangsang’s activities are primarily horticulture and spice promotion; the spices include black pepper, ginger, and turmeric. Mapakkai’s activities are focused on the Sericulture value chain and livestock rearing.
